Muscat, September 11, 2025 – Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to theSultanate of OmanAidarbek Tumatov, metwithSheikhKhaledAl-Khalili, Chairman of the IslamicBank of Oman - NizwaBank and the owner of the OmaniInvestment CompanyMaamouraWheatTradingLLC.

In May 2025, Maamoura Wheat Trading LLC acquired 100% of the shares of Kazakhstan «Astyk Trans» Joint Stock Company, specializing in railway transportation of grain and other agricultural goods.

The parties discussed in detail the most promising areas of investment, trade and economic cooperation between Kazakhstan and Oman. In particular, the Omani side expressed interest in the work of the Kazakh banking sector and investment opportunities in other most profitable sectors of the economy of Kazakhstan.

The Ambassador A.Tumatov informed him about the current state of the banking sector and the main trends in the development of the financial market in Kazakhstan. He noted a number of promising sectors of the national economy for attracting foreign direct investments.

Following the meeting, the parties agreed to keep working contacts to work out issues of attracting Omani investments into the economy of Kazakhstan.
