Investments, Dialogue, and Prospects: Meeting at the Ministry of National Economy of Hungary

Budapest, September 9, 2025 – At the Ministry of National Economy of Hungary, Ambassador of Kazakhstan Abzal Saparbekuly met with Mr. Márton Bokay, Deputy State Secretary for International Financial Relations and Foreign Economic Investment Policy.
The parties discussed the current state and future prospects of Kazakh–Hungarian economic cooperation. In particular, they reaffirmed their mutual interest in creating a joint investment fund and developing financial partnerships, including through the platform of the Astana International Financial Centre (AIFC).
Special attention was paid to preparations for the next session of the Kazakhstan–Hungary Intergovernmental Commission, scheduled to be held in Kazakhstan. The sides exchanged proposals regarding possible dates and the format of the event.
Ambassador Saparbekuly emphasized Kazakhstan’s readiness to provide comprehensive support to Hungarian companies interested in doing business in Kazakhstan. The Hungarian side, in turn, highly appreciated the country’s investment climate and the infrastructure of the AIFC, expressing interest in further expanding bilateral economic cooperation with the support of Kazakh Invest.
