The large-scale sports event traditionally organized in the city of Shymkent - "Shymkent Marathon - 2025" has come to an end. This year, about 7 thousand participants registered for this mass running race, and the sports festival was held at a high level. In addition to professional athletes, residents and guests of the city who adhere to a healthy lifestyle actively participated in the competition.

During the marathon, participants competed at various distances. In particular, winners and prize-winners were determined in the 5, 10, 21 and 42 km running, Nordic walking and Ekiden (42 km team relay). All safety requirements and organizational measures were fully ensured for the participants of each distance. The race route traditionally started from Al-Farabi Square and ended there.

The event was organized with the support of the Shymkent city administration. During the competition, volunteers, medical representatives, police officers, and road safety specialists were mobilized to create the necessary conditions for participants and residents.

Following the marathon, the winners and runners-up were awarded cash prizes, trophies, and valuable souvenirs by the organizers and sponsors. The team Ekiden relay and long-distance running competitions were especially popular with spectators.

"Shymkent Marathon" is today becoming one of the largest mass sports events not only in Shymkent, but also in the country. Every year its scale expands, and the number of participants increases. This marathon shows that it has become a common holiday not only for professional athletes, but also for all residents who prioritize health, sports enthusiasts of all ages.

According to the organizers, next year the marathon will be held in a new format and will be brought to an even higher level. The Shymkent Marathon is a bright example of a healthy lifestyle, unity and friendship.
