In his next Address to the people of Kazakhstan, the Head of State raised topical issues aimed at regulating and developing the socio-economic situation of the country, proposed mechanisms for their resolution, and gave instructions to the relevant state structures.
The development of the digitalization system, attracting investment to the country, developing the manufacturing industry, and addressing gaps in the housing and communal services - all of this did not go unnoticed by the President.
"Modernization of housing and communal services and water infrastructure is a fundamental factor for sustainable development. Due to the inaction of the government and local executive authorities, the housing and communal services of our country have been neglected for decades, and their condition has fallen into a very difficult state. Now, appropriate measures are being taken to change this situation and reduce the level of infrastructure deterioration. These include measures such as liberalizing tariffs, forming a new model for managing energy and housing and communal services infrastructure. According to this model, as tariffs increase, reliable and high-quality services should be provided to the population. The concept of creating a "Smart City" will undoubtedly help in this, which should be extended to all regions of the country. It is necessary to use advanced international practices and attract qualified leaders, including foreign specialists," said Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.
The need for modernization of housing and communal services is evident from the requests of residents who come to the iKomek center. The majority of calls concern infrastructure issues. Although the city authorities are working in this direction, modernization work is still necessary to achieve significant results. It is clear that after the work is carried out systematically, it will be possible to create a comfortable environment for the population.
The Head of State also noted that natural water resources in the country are decreasing, and instructed to promote the culture of water consumption and conservation within the country, especially among the younger generation. This is an urgent issue not only for today, but also for tomorrow.
