On September 6, 2025, a large-scale Saturday was organized on the territory of the A. Askarov State Dendrological Park in Shymkent. This event was held within the framework of the "Clean Kazakhstan" environmental project, which has become a tradition in our country.

The main purpose of the Sabbath is not only to collect garbage, but also:

During the Sabbath, work was carried out on a large area:

• The park area was cleaned and household waste was collected. Special attention was paid to walking paths, recreation areas, and green areas.

• Trees and shrubs were cared for. Specialists and volunteers watered them, trimmed excess branches, and took measures to protect them from pests.

• Dead trees and bushes have been cut down. This will renew the greenery of the park and create favorable conditions for the natural growth of plants.

• Pedestrian paths and entrance areas have been cleaned, and ornamental flower beds have been put in order.

Not only special equipment and workers, but also residents were mobilized for the Sabbath. This, in turn, was an example of the joint work of society and the authorities.

The event was attended by local residents, young volunteers, government employees, and city activists who love nature. The activity of young people is especially noteworthy. They not only participated in the cleanup, but also shared photos and videos from the cleanup on social networks, promoting environmental culture.

One of the participants, student Aruzhan, expressed his opinion as follows:
"We contribute to the future by protecting nature. This Sabbath once again made me realize the need to treat nature with care."

And the retired Zhumabai Ata said:
"We often walk in this park with our children. It is each of our responsibility to keep it clean and beautiful. I was pleased with the Saturday organized today."

According to experts, such cleanups are not limited to just one day of cleaning. They contribute to increasing the awareness of residents about responsibility for nature. A compassionate approach to the environment is a guarantee of a quality life for future generations.

Environmentalists, emphasizing the importance of this event, called on people to protect nature in their daily lives. In particular:

• less use of plastic products,

• supporting the tradition of planting trees,

• It was emphasized that maintaining cleanliness in public places is the responsibility of every citizen.

The A. Askarov Dendrological Park is not only a natural area, but also a place of scientific research and education. Various excursions and lessons on nature conservation are held here for schoolchildren and students.

The preservation of rare plants in the park is a major contribution to the protection of the country's biodiversity. Therefore, keeping such areas clean and regularly maintained is a shared responsibility of the state and society.

The Saturday clean-up on September 6 marked another step forward in the ecological culture of Shymkent. Thanks to the activities of public organizations and residents, not only was the park area cleaned up, but people's attitudes towards nature also changed.
