As part of the republic-wide "Clean Kazakhstan" environmental campaign, which will be held on September 6, 2025, a large-scale Sabbath was organized in the Al-Farabi district of Shymkent. Employees of the district akimat, specialists of the Al-Farabi district prosecutor's office, representatives of municipal institutions in the Al-Farabi district, soldiers of the Shymkent garrison military camp, and local residents actively participated in this noble event.
During the weekend, aimed at forming an ecological culture, special attention was paid to protecting nature, improving the city's sanitation, and increasing the shared responsibility of residents.
The gathered community was involved in sanitary cleaning, landscaping, and landscaping of the district. During the work:
Dead trees were cut down and bushes were trimmed;
weeds were mowed and removed with special equipment;
sidewalks and streets were washed;
Drains and irrigation systems were cleaned.
As a result, about 10 tons of garbage were removed from the district in one day. In total, more than 200 people participated in the cleanup, and 15 special vehicles were deployed.
Each organization and institution that participated in the Sabbath took a responsible approach to cleaning work in their respective territories. In particular, the soldiers of the Shymkent garrison military camp showed great activity and intensively carried out cleaning work in public places. Employees of the Akimat and the Prosecutor's Office also worked side by side with the residents and contributed to the common cause.
The active participation of local residents also contributed to the high level of the Sabbath. Many families came with their children, demonstrating social responsibility in practice and setting an example for young people.
The main goal of the "Clean Kazakhstan" campaign is not only to collect garbage and beautify the city, but also to increase love for nature and environmental culture among the population.
During the Sabbath, residents will be able to:
proper sorting of household waste,
Disposing of garbage in special places,
participation in landscaping activities,
Explanatory work was carried out on tree care issues.
These steps not only maintain environmental safety, but also guarantee a clean and comfortable environment for future generations.
According to residents who participated in the cleanup, such activities not only help keep the area clean, but also strengthen relationships between neighbors. By working together, people get to know each other better and make new friends.
Such events have a great educational value for young people. They not only teach them to work, but also teach them to respect their native land and protect nature.
The social significance of Shabbat is also special. On the one hand, if the city area is clean and beautiful, and a comfortable environment is created for residents, on the other hand, people's solidarity increases. Working together on a common cause is a clear indicator of unity and solidarity in society.
Such events teach young people hard work and encourage them to be socially active. Especially, the joint participation of family members is a great example for children.
The Al-Farabi district akimat plans to hold such events regularly. In the future, it is planned to organize Saturdays not only for sanitary cleaning, but also for planting greenery, planting flower beds, repairing playgrounds, and improving public places.
In addition, special meetings and explanatory work will be held in schools and universities to increase environmental culture. This is an effective way to increase the responsibility of the younger generation towards nature.
The large-scale Saturday event held on September 6 was of great importance for the residents of the Al-Farabi district. As a result of the one-day event, the area of the district became more beautiful and cleanliness improved significantly. Most importantly, residents once again felt that protecting nature is the duty of every citizen.
This noble initiative demonstrated the unity and organization of the city's residents. Such events not only improve the environmental situation in Shymkent, but also increase responsibility among residents.
The Al-Farabi District Akimat calls on all city residents to actively participate in such good deeds. Because a clean city is the result of the joint efforts of every citizen .
