On September 13, 2025, as part of the city-wide “Clean City” Saturday work organized in Shymkent, large-scale cleaning activities were held in Turan district. This initiative was aimed at improving the quality of life of residents, protecting the environment, and forming an ecological culture.

Under the coordination of the Turan district akimat, employees of state institutions, municipal specialists, and residents of the district participated in the Sabbath. The breadth of the work can be seen from the following data:

  • The district akimat staff mobilized 380 employees and 26 special equipment, resulting in the removal of more than 18 tons of waste.

  • In total, in the Turan district : 830 employees and 39 pieces of equipment were deployed, and 23 tons of garbage were removed.

These indicators determine the organized nature of the Sabbath, the activity of the participants, and the scope of work accomplished.

Various cleaning and improvement works were carried out throughout the district. In particular:

  • Dead trees and broken branches were cut down. This measure not only contributes to the proper growth of greenery, but also ensures the safety of residents.

  • Grass cutting was carried out. In particular, the vegetation in yards and along the roadsides was cut and brought into order in accordance with sanitary requirements.

  • Roads and pedestrian walkways were cleaned. Special equipment was used to remove dust and dirt, creating conditions for residents to move around comfortably.

  • Garbage dumps were organized and the collected waste was taken to special places.

  • Additional sanitary and disinfection measures were taken and epidemiological cleanliness was maintained.

All of these works have enhanced the beauty of the Turan district and created a clean and comfortable environment for residents.

The “Clean City” Saturday is not only a garbage collection event, but also aims to increase the environmental culture of the population. The participation of young people in such initiatives is especially educational. By participating in the Saturday, schoolchildren and students understand the importance of protecting the environment, and the older generation can become an example for them.

Taking care of the environment is the duty of every citizen. In this regard, Shabbat is of particular importance. Residents, seeing the results of their own labor, felt a deeper sense of the need to protect public property and maintain cleanliness.

In addition to the district akimat and municipal institutions, representatives of the culture, social protection, and agriculture sectors also actively participated in the Saturday. Each institution contributed according to its capabilities and joined the common cause.

Such large-scale measures strengthen social unity and allow people to work together to achieve a common goal. This is not just a clean-up effort, but a step that helps residents interact with each other, increase mutual support and respect.

The "Clean City" Saturday is not a one-time event, but a traditional initiative that will continue on an ongoing basis. In the future, such cleaning activities will be carried out in stages in the Turan district, and garbage collection, landscaping, and disinfection will continue on a regular basis.

The district akimat urged residents to actively participate in the Sabbath, emphasizing that everyone's contribution is important in improving the city's ecology.

The results of the “Clean City” citywide Saturday, held on September 13, 2025, were clearly visible in the Turan district. The activity of more than 800 employees, the launch of dozens of pieces of equipment, and the removal of 23 tons of garbage indicate that the Saturday was held at a high level.

This was not only a sanitary measure, but also an important initiative aimed at building social unity, responsibility among residents, and environmental culture.

A clean city is a common goal for all of us. By contributing to the cleanliness of the city, we leave a comfortable, beautiful, and safe environment for future generations.
