Today, a large-scale environmental campaign was held in all regions of the country as part of World Cleanup Day. This initiative is aimed at cleaning the environment from garbage, forming an ecological culture among residents, and calling for respect for nature.

The city of Shymkent also actively participated in this good cause. Thousands of city residents, young people, volunteers, government agencies, various organizations, and educational institutions took part in the city-wide Sabbath, which was held on the territory of the city.

Cleaning work was organized throughout the city and began early in the morning. In particular, residents and institutional teams actively participated in the clean-up, which began at 32-34 Mangeldin Street, the Constitution Crossing, and houses 58 and 58/1 in the Otrar microdistrict.

On the occasion of World Cleanup Day, a large-scale campaign “Shymkent is a clean city!” was organized by the Shymkent City Youth Resource Center. As part of the event, about 200 young activists carried out cleaning work and participated in garbage collection in the Mayatas settlement.

During the citywide cleanup, not only was garbage collected, but also tree pruning, grass mowing, landscaping, painting, yard and street cleaning, and landscaping and repair work were carried out.

In total, tens of thousands of people participated in the cleanup, which was held in all districts of the city, and hundreds of tons of garbage were removed. The city's residents proved with concrete actions that maintaining cleanliness is the responsibility of every citizen.

The Shymkent city administration will continue to hold such events in the future to promote environmental culture. In addition, the city authorities call on all residents, volunteers, entrepreneurs, and organizations to work together to keep their city clean.
