Today, the mayor of Shymkent, Gabit Syzdykbekov, met with the world and Asian champions. In an atmosphere of pride and inspiration, the athletes shared their impressions, and the mayor emphasized that their outstanding achievements are important for the entire country.
It is worth noting that at the World Boxing Championships in Liverpool, the Kazakhstan national team achieved a historic achievement by winning seven gold, one silver, and two bronze medals. This record will go down in the annals of Kazakhstani sports.

Special thanks were given to the Sabyrkhan brothers. Mahmud climbed to the top of the podium for the second time, while his younger brother Torekhan, who was only 19 years old, became the world champion for the first time and went down in history.

There are many other achievements in Shymkent sports. Sanzhar-Ali Begaliev won gold at the Asian Youth Championships in Bangkok, three-time world champion in togyzkumalak Galymzhan Temirbayev demonstrated his skills at the tournament dedicated to the 180th anniversary of Abai, and three-time world champion Zhumazhan Kozhambekov became the champion in Kazakh wrestling among soldiers.

"Willpower, discipline, and dedication to sports lead to such results. The achievements of our athletes inspire young people and strengthen Kazakhstan's reputation on the world stage," the city mayor said.

The winners were awarded cars at the expense of sponsors.
At the end of the meeting, the city mayor congratulated the champions, thanked their coaches and mentors, and wished them new achievements and bright victories.
