🔷 Shymkent International Airport has successfully passed the certification procedure and received RA3 (Regulated Agent Third Country) status. This certificate confirms that the airport fully complies with the strict aviation security requirements of the European Union in the field of cargo transportation.
🔷 The airport was assigned a unique registration number KZ/RA3/00004-01 and was officially included in the European RA3 database. This status allows the airport to carry out direct cargo transportation to European countries without additional checks at transit points.
🔷 This will accelerate cargo delivery times, simplify logistics chains, reduce time and financial costs for partners, and increase the city's attractiveness for international air carriers and logistics companies.
🔷 This event is of great strategic importance for Shymkent. The new status will strengthen the airport's position as one of the largest cargo hubs in Central Asia, expand the scope of cooperation with foreign airlines, and create new opportunities for the development of Kazakhstan's foreign economic relations.
🔷 Obtaining the RA3 certificate is an important step towards Kazakhstan's integration into international transport and trade corridors. It will also contribute to increasing the investment and business attractiveness of the region.
🔷 In addition, a second runway will be built at Shymkent Airport. The project is an important part of the program to transform the airport into a modern multimodal hub of international level.
🔷 The length of the new runway will be 3,500 meters, and the width will be 60 meters. The strength of the PSN-80 category pavement will allow it to accommodate high-capacity aircraft.
🔷 Special attention is paid to compliance with international safety standards. The runway will be equipped with systems that allow aircraft to be accepted even in conditions of limited or complete visibility. This will significantly increase the stability and reliability of air traffic.
