On September 21, 2025, a significant environmental event took place in the Kazygurt District—a district-wide cleanup day organized as part of World Cleanup Day. Residents of the district, government officials, education, healthcare, and cultural workers, as well as youth and volunteers, actively participated in the event. The main goal of the event was not only to clean up public spaces but also to raise environmental awareness among the population and foster a responsible attitude toward nature.

In accordance with the instructions of the district akim, Azizkhan Ismailov, landscaping and cleanup efforts covered all rural districts. From early morning, government employees, schoolchildren, students, and representatives of various public organizations took to the streets to contribute to creating a clean and comfortable environment. The atmosphere of the cleanup day was marked by unity and cohesion: residents worked together, helped each other, and set an example of caring for the environment.

During the campaign, large-scale cleanup efforts were organized. Using specialized equipment, solid household waste was transported to designated landfills. Tens of tons of trash were collected from streets, courtyards, and residential areas. Particular attention was paid to roadsides, ditches, and canals, which were cleared of accumulated trash and silt. This improved the sanitary conditions of the area and prevented potential problems with drainage systems.

In addition to garbage collection, a significant amount of work was devoted to landscaping green spaces. Lawns were mowed and watered, and shrubs and trees were trimmed. Tree trunks were whitewashed, which not only gave them a neat appearance but also protected them from pests. Flower beds were tidied up, and in some areas, residents planted new ornamental plants. All these measures gave the district's streets and parks a well-maintained and attractive appearance.

Particular attention was paid to educational and outreach activities on this day. Organizers emphasized that the cleanup day was not a one-time event, but rather part of a systematic effort to foster a culture of cleanliness among the population. During the event, representatives of environmental organizations explained to residents the importance of separate waste collection, recycling, and careful stewardship of natural resources. Participants were reminded that everyone can contribute to maintaining cleanliness not only during the cleanup day but also in their everyday lives.

District Akim Azizkhan Ismailov personally visited several rural districts where the work was taking place and reviewed the progress of the event. He noted the residents' activism, thanked everyone for their participation, and emphasized that such events should be held regularly. The heads of the responsible agencies were instructed to strengthen environmental education efforts, more actively involve schoolchildren and students in landscaping activities, and systematically organize cleanup days throughout the year.

The role of young people is undeniable. Students, schoolchildren, and volunteers demonstrated particular zeal: they not only actively participated but also encouraged their peers to keep the cleanliness up. Many shared their impressions on social media, posted photos, and spoke about the importance of such events. Thus, the environmental initiative received widespread public attention.

The older generation also got involved. Elderly residents joined the cleanup effort alongside younger residents, setting a worthy example. They shared that, since Soviet times, such cleanups had been a good tradition that helped bring people together and foster a sense of responsibility for their small homeland.

The results of the cleanup were immediately noticeable: the streets were cleaner, the courtyards and parks were more well-maintained, and the participants' overall spirits were lifted. Many noted that by working together, they not only cleaned up the area but also strengthened community ties. After all, such events bring neighbors, colleagues, and classmates closer together, turning shared work into a celebration of unity.

The organizers emphasize that World Cleanup Day is a global initiative uniting millions of people around the world. The Kazygurt District's participation in this movement demonstrates that residents of the region recognize the importance of environmental protection and are willing to contribute to the common cause. In the future, they plan to hold similar events more frequently, expand their scope, and attract ever-increasing numbers of people.

Thus, the community cleanup day in the Kazygurt district became not only a practical measure to clean up the area but also a symbol of community responsibility for the environment. The event demonstrated that with joint efforts, significant results can be achieved, making the district cleaner, more comfortable, and more livable. The key is to maintain this spirit and make cleanliness a regular habit for every resident.
