"Solving the water problem is a guarantee of maintaining social stability and developing the economy. This is one of the main factors ensuring national security," President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev noted in his Address on September 8, 2025.

The Head of State also said: "Kazakhstan should become a transport hub in Eurasia. This is a task of great strategic importance. It is necessary to attract the best specialists and entrepreneurs who have achieved success in this field to this work. But the main responsibility lies with the Government."

In order to implement these directions, digital tools and automated systems are being introduced in the city of Shymkent.

In addition, a memorandum of cooperation was signed between Hong Kong Airport and Shymkent Airport JSC within the framework of the Belt and Road International Summit in Hong Kong.
