Best teachers honored in Shymkent

Today, a solemn gathering entitled "Teacher - the beacon of the nation" was held at the "Kyzgaldak" palace in Shymkent. This festive event, dedicated to paying tribute to educators who work tirelessly to educate the future of the country, highlighted the status of the teaching community and became an expression of sincere gratitude for their work.
The event was attended by the city mayor Gabit Syzdykbekov, the chairman of the city maslikhat Bakhadyr Narymbetov, district akims, heads of departments, rectors of higher education institutions, heads of technical and vocational education organizations, veteran teachers and more than 2,000 educators. The hall was full of people who were worthy of respect and gratitude, and joy and excitement were felt on their faces.
The holiday saw the presentation of state awards from the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Four teachers from Shymkent received the “For Meritorious Labor” badge, and a number of teachers were awarded the “Y. Altynsarin” badge, the “Honored Worker of Education” badge, and letters of gratitude from the city akim and the chairman of the city maslikhat. Each award is the result of years of hard work and dedicated service.
In his speech, the city mayor Gabit Syzdykbekov emphasized the place and responsibility of the teaching profession in society.
— As the President of the country Kassym-Jomart Tokayev said, teaching is not just a profession, it is a great mission. After all, no matter how much a person achieves and rises to the top, he remains a student of his teacher for life. A teacher is the beacon of the future of the nation. He is the most valuable person in a person’s life. You have been working tirelessly to educate the younger generation as educated, intelligent, patriotic and honest citizens. A teacher forms the most important wealth of the state - human capital. Therefore, raising the status of a teacher is one of the main tasks of our state. Currently, concrete steps are being taken to improve the social status of teachers and improve their professional qualifications. Systematic work is also being carried out in Shymkent in this direction. Today, more than 32 thousand teachers work in our city. Their professional skills and hard work are highly appreciated by the state. The fact that four teachers in Shymkent received the “For their hard work” badge this year will undoubtedly increase the prestige of the teaching profession and become an example for the next generation, - said the city akim.
The solemn gathering was followed by an impressive concert program. Songs and melodies, heartfelt words and congratulations clearly demonstrated the people's respect for teachers. This day was not only a joy for teachers, but also a special moment that strengthened their work and faith in the future.
