The implementation of the concept of modernization of the Koksai microdistrict, popularly known as "Zelenaya Balka", continues. The history of Shagyna begins in 1915. When the construction of the railway was started in the city, residents began to settle here.

The settlement is also called "Nakhalovka", because a significant part of the houses were built by citizens independently, without documents. Residents have repeatedly raised issues related to crime and housing conditions. Many of the apartment buildings were built more than a century ago and are in a dilapidated condition.

The mayor, who specially visited the small district and took into account the residents' suggestions, made an important decision. The first stage of the concept is the program for the renovation of apartment buildings.

Today, the mayor of the city Gabit Syzdykbekov handed over the keys to new apartments to eight more families living on Nurlybayev Street. The mayor congratulated the residents on their housewarming and wished them a happy and prosperous life. The number of rooms in the renovated apartments corresponds to the number of rooms in the previous apartments.

After the full resettlement of residents, it is planned to build a district administration building, a physical education and recreation complex, social facilities, apartment buildings and parks, expand the existing school, and create a multifunctional trade and logistics center.

The Shaginaudan modernization concept is being implemented in stages. The project is important not only for modernizing the city's infrastructure, but also for improving the quality of life and well-being of residents.
