On March 14 of this year, at the 4th meeting of the National Kurultai, the Head of State gave instructions on the implementation of the "Center-West" strategic project. To implement this project, the Ministry of Transport held a meeting to discuss the progress of the work.

The new road will directly connect the capital with the country's western regions via Arkalyk, Torgai, and Irgiz. The route includes the construction of the Astana-Arkalyk and Torgai-Irgiz sections from scratch and the use of the existing road between Arkalyk and Torgai (which is in good condition).

Equipment and personnel are currently being mobilized, temporary worker camps are being established, and topsoil is being removed.
