«Our region is a dynamically developing agro-industrial zone with great potential for partnership and investment. The region's socioeconomic status is directly dependent on the water level of the SyrDarya River.
The main crop grown is rice, which requires a lot of water. The total area under cultivation is 190,000 hectares, of which 80,000-85,000 hectares are allocated to rice. More than 90% of the country's rice is produced in the Kyzylorda region.
In accordance with the instructions of the Head of State, given in his Address, regarding water conservation and advanced processing of agricultural products, we plan to reduce rice cultivation and increase the area under corn.
We held talks on this topic with the manager of a corn and starch processing plant in the city of Zharkent. The project includes the construction of a drying facility in the first phase (2025-2026) and a deep corn processing plant in the second phase (2026-2029).
For the plant to operate effectively, at least 20,000 hectares of land must be planted with corn. You will be allocated a 10,000-hectare plot of land, as previously agreed. Given the company's experience in agriculture, we are ready to cooperate.
We support every investor within the framework of current legislation.
All infrastructure is accessible, and the regional akimat will provide comprehensive support in obtaining the necessary technical specifications», - noted N. Nalibayev.
At the meeting, general director of the «Harvest Kazakhstan» company Daulet Uvashev expressed his readiness to develop partnerships.
