Helsinki, September 18, 2025 – Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Finland Azamat Abdraimov met with the Director General of the M.Ahtisaari Peace Foundation, Janne Taalas.

During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on current regional and international issues and explored promising areas for bilateral cooperation.

The Kazakh diplomat informed his interlocutor about the large-scale reforms being implemented under the leadership of President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, highlighting key points of the recent Presidential Address. Particular attention was given to the ongoing socio-economic changes and political transformation. It was emphasized that these initiatives resonate with Finland’s experience and open up opportunities for joint projects in green energy, innovation, and artificial intelligence.

J. Taalas expressed interest in the transformations taking place in Kazakhstan and highly appreciated the country’s efforts in strengthening international dialogue on global challenges.
