Active work continues in the Karaganda region to attract investments. For eight months of this year, the region received 644 billion tenge, which is 11% more than in the same period last year.
The results were announced at the staff meeting by the head of the Department of Entrepreneurship and Industry, Askar Gazaliev.
In total, 29 investment projects are planned to be implemented in 2025, half of which are in the manufacturing sector. The goal for the year is to attract 1.5 trillion tenge of investments.
Favorable conditions have been created for investors in the region: Along with the programs of the state and development institutions, there are regional ones – Kasipker and Orleu. There are two large sites with ready–made infrastructure and tax preferences - the Saryarka SEZ and the Saran industrial zone. The Investor Service Center operates on the basis of SEC Saryarka.
Support is provided in the form of preferential loans, infrastructure provision, provision of land plots and licenses for subsurface use.
– There is an increase in business activity in the region: the number of small and medium-sized businesses has exceeded 101 thousand. This year, it is planned to finance 3.8 thousand entrepreneurs through subsidies, guarantees, grants and preferential loans," Askar Gazaliyev said.
Projects that have already been launched include a hot-dip galvanizing plant; the production of Samsung brand televisions and washing machines. The production of metallurgical silicon is being revived.
The construction of a 150 MW wind farm is being completed in the Osakarov district. In the near future, production of straight-seam steel pipes, aluminum radiators and silicon alloys will be launched in the region.
In the agricultural sector, support was given to the construction of the largest dairy farm in the Osakarov district, where the first stage for 1,200 heads is scheduled to be launched by the end of the year.
Akim of the region Ermaganbet Bulekpayev stressed that the implementation of investment projects is under constant control.
– In his Address to the people of Kazakhstan, the Head of State noted that it is necessary to clearly determine where and to what extent investments should be directed. Akims are personally responsible for the preparation and execution of specific projects. If investors have problems, it is necessary to take prompt measures within the framework of legislation," said the head of the region.
