Events dedicated to Abai's 180th anniversary, «Sulu Syrdan - Shyrayly Shygyska», continued in Ust-Kamenogorsk. The delegation was led by the regional akim Nurlybek Nalibayev. The delegation included members of the Senate and Majilis of the Parliament N. Baikadamov, R. Rustemov, and M. Ergeshbayev; the chairman of the regional council of veterans S. Duisenbayev; veterans of the region, members of the intelligentsia; the Turmagambet Folk Instrument Orchestra; the vocal and instrumental ensemble «Syr Samaly»; the dance ensemble «Tomiris», a choir, and other artists.
Performers generously shared their talents, performing songs and poetry before an audience gathered at the East Kazakhstan Regional Philharmonic.
The head of the region expressed good wishes to the people of the East, where outstanding figures emerged who are the source of the national spirit, culture, literature, and art.
«In difficult times, in days filled with disasters, during the great calamity when famine engulfed the country, the entire Kazakh people sent their caravans to the SyrDarya, finding shelter there, like a mother. Therefore, the SyrDarya region, which became the mother of Alash, holds a special place and significance for the Kazakhs.
Eastern Kazakhstan, where abundance and grace reign, is a sacred land that reveals the depth of the Kazakh people's soul.
A striking confirmation of this is the fact that the 180th anniversary of the great Abai was celebrated at a high level with the support of our President.
The head of state said: «The great Abai is not only the pride of our country but also a world-class genius. His poems and words of edification are a mirror of our national identity».
On behalf of the residents of the Kyzylorda region and myself, I sincerely congratulate you all on this national holiday, honoring the outstanding son of the Kazakh people, educator Abai Kunanbayev!» - said N. Nalibayev.
At the celebratory meeting, Akim of the East Kazakhstan Region, Nurymbet Saktaganov, delivered a speech and expressed gratitude to the regional Akim, Nurlybek Nalibayev, for his support of the Art Days, as well as to the artists who participated in the event.
The concert featured melodies of Korkyt on the kobyz, excerpts from the epic «Kultegin», and the song «Korkyt-Kobyz».
The Tomiris Dance Ensemble received special recognition for its choreographic performance of «Uly Dala Poemasy». The audience was presented with the terme Nurtugan zhyrau «Osiet», Nartai akyn «Ozderin biler Nartaimyn» and Ak Kete Sherniyaz «Soz soyleyin bolmelep».
Folk songs such as «Buldirgen», «Sursha kyz», «Syrdyn karatorgayy», «Auylyn senin irgeli», as well as masterpieces of world classics were performed.
Let us remind you that yesterday the days of culture of the Kyzylorda region were held in the Abay region «Sulu Syrdan - uly Abay eline».
