Today, regional akim Nurlybek Nalibayev congratulated statesman and public figure Bakbergen Sarsenovich Dosmanbetov on his 80th birthday. The meeting was attended by intellectuals and contemporaries who worked with the man.
The regional governor recounted Bakbergen Sarsenovich's career and expressed his best wishes.
«Today's official meeting is dedicated to our esteemed elder, who, through his honest work, earned the people's love and initiated exemplary projects. Bakbergen Dosmanbetov, who made a significant contribution to the development of the region, celebrated his 80th birthday.
Bakbergen Sarsenovich was born in 1945 in the Karmakshy District. He received his education at the Faculty of Construction and Urban Economy of the Moscow Institute of Management.
He began his career as a simple railroad worker, and over the years held positions such as secretary of the Komsomol organization, senior lecturer, department head, vice-rector, and rector of the N.V. Gogol Kyzylorda Pedagogical Institute (now Korkyt Ata University), as well as akim of Kyzylorda.
He studied economics and wrote nine monographs and 60 scientific articles.
As mayor, he breathed new life into our region and created opportunities for job creation.
As a member of the Senate of the second, third, and fourth convocations of Parliament, he advanced initiatives aimed at improving the well-being of the people and made a significant contribution to the adoption of laws serving the country.
During the years of independence, unemployment was rampant, and wages and pensions went unpaid for months and years. Electricity shortages plagued the country, and natural gas was a distant dream, and we still remember how firewood was transported by cart. At such a time, the work of the older generation, who called on the people to unite and set an example of patience and perseverance, is invaluable.
It is especially noteworthy that this marks the 30th anniversary of the founding of Bolashak University, located on the left bank of the city, distinguished by its beauty and architecture.
Today, the university trains specialists essential to the labor market of our region and country, who make an invaluable contribution to the country's development. This is clear evidence of Bakbergen Sarsenovich's respect for education and science.

At the meeting, the regional akim presented the anniversary's celebrant with a Certificate of Honor of the Kyzylorda Region and, in accordance with tradition, a chapan. Elders Ibrahim Abibullaev, Bekmyrza Yelamanov, Nazhmadin Musabayev, Sapen Ansat, and Kylyshbay Bisenev delivered speeches, recognizing Bakbergen Sarsenovich's significant contribution to the country's development.
Bakbergen Sarsenovich Dosmanbetov is a Doctor of Economics, professor at Bolashak University, Korkyt Ata University, and L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University, an academician of the National Academy of Sciences of the Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and has been awarded the Orders of Kurmet, Parasat, and Barys (II degree). He is also an honorary citizen of the Kyzylorda region.
Concluding the meeting, the hero of the day expressed his sincere gratitude for the honors bestowed upon him.
