An attempt to transfer narcotic substances was stopped in one of the medium-security penal colonies in Semey.

          During a hidden patrol, employees of the institution No. 20 DUIS in the Abai region detained two residents of Semey, aged 34 and 29 years.                             The men tried to throw a package wrapped in duct tape over the main fence. Inside there was a green substance of plant origin with a specific odor.

           The examination confirmed that the seized substance is dried marijuana weighing about 60 grams.

           A pre-trial investigation has been launched against the detainees into an attempt to illegally traffic narcotic drugs.
