As part of a large-scale information campaign to explain the new Tax Code, the Department of State Revenue in Zhetisu region held an on-site seminar for entrepreneurs and residents of Karatal district.

The new Code, which will come into force on January 1, 2026, is designed to fundamentally change the tax system. Its main goal is not just to change the rules, but to form a new mentality of taxpayers based on the principles of honesty and transparency.

The main provisions of the new Code are:

- Reduction of administrative burden: favorable conditions are created for business development, especially in the key sectors for the region - agriculture and tourism.

- Support for the social sphere: reduced corporate income tax (CIT) rates are introduced for socially important sectors, such as medicine and education.

- Fair distribution of income: a progressive scale of individual income tax (IIT) and a tax on luxury goods will ensure a more equitable distribution of the tax burden.

- A level playing field: increasing VAT and optimizing special tax regimes will help bring unscrupulous businesses out of the shadows.

Timely familiarization with the changes and preparation for the new rules is the key to successful adaptation to the new economic conditions.

The next field seminar within the framework of the information campaign will be held on September 24 in Sarkanskiy district.
