The Minister of Justice met with representatives of civil society

On September 24, on the eve of the 12th Civil Forum of Kazakhstan, Minister of Justice Yerlan Sarsembayev held a meeting with representatives of civil society.
The Minister emphasized the important role of civil society, particularly in the preparation and defense of National Reports under the Universal Periodic Review and the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights. These efforts have strengthened Kazakhstan's international image and reaffirmed the country's commitment to its international human rights obligations.
As part of the tasks set out in the President's Address on the development of digitalization and artificial intelligence, the Ministry of Justice presented the progress of digital transformation in the justice system, highlighting its role in reducing administrative barriers and corruption risks, while ensuring accessibility of services for the population.
The Minister of Justice emphasized that «In his recent Address, as well as yesterday from the main rostrum of the United Nations during its regular session, the Head of State outlined the key priorities for the country's development. The «Law and Order» Concept is the foundation of a just and strong state». The provisions of the Concept concern every citizen, and should begin with, and be implemented by, each individual personally».
At the conclusion of the meeting, the Minister expressed gratitude to civil society representatives for their constructive engagement and fruitful cooperation, and called for the continuation of joint efforts.
