As part of the district's local executive bodies' efforts to prevent drug abuse and trafficking, a meeting of the Interdepartmental Headquarters for Coordinating Government Activities to Combat Drug Abuse and Drug Trafficking in the Beimbet-Maylin District was held on September 23, 2025, in the district administration building. The meeting addressed issues such as the results of efforts to engage minors in work and sports activities during the school holidays, conducting raids to detect the illegal trafficking of precursors and prescription drugs in pharmacies, and engaging NGOs, addiction specialists, and psychologists in preventive work. The discussion aims to develop measures to strengthen informational and outreach efforts among adolescents and their parents, including the use of social media and local media to widely publicize the consequences of drug use. Particular attention was also paid to interagency cooperation, improving the effectiveness of online monitoring for drug advertising, and developing additional mechanisms for engaging young people in sports and volunteer activities. Following the meeting, the Interagency Headquarters developed specific instructions for the responsible government agencies aimed at strengthening the prevention system, increasing control over drug trafficking, and improving outreach to young people.
