National Guard Servicewoman Wins Bronze at the World Boxing Championship in Liverpool

Private Viktoria Grafeeva, Senior Specialist (Senior Instructor in Physical Training and Sports) at the National Guard’s Sports Training Center, brought Kazakhstan a bronze medal at the World Boxing Championship taking place in Liverpool, England.

Viktoria competed in the under-60 kg weight category and confidently advanced to the semifinals. In the quarterfinal bout, she faced Sitora Turdibekova of Uzbekistan and secured victory by a split decision, guaranteeing herself at least a bronze medal.

In the decisive semifinal match for a place in the final, the Kazakhstani athlete went up against Brazil’s Rebeca de Lima Santos. Despite putting up a strong fight, Viktoria lost by judges’ decision, finishing the World Championship as a bronze medalist.
