Recently, servicemen of military unit 5513 of the National Guard of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, who were on duty to protect public order, demonstrated vigilance and professionalism in two separate incidents on the same day. They provided assistance to a nine-year-old boy with a head injury and detained a teenager found carrying a knife.
The first incident took place in the Saltanat residential area. A patrol unit noticed a boy with heavy bleeding from a head wound. According to preliminary information, while playing on a playground, the child collided with a swing and struck a curb.
The patrol commander, Junior Sergeant Asylkhan Myrzabek, together with his subordinates, quickly provided first aid: the guardsmen stopped the bleeding, dressed the wound, and called an ambulance. Until the doctors arrived, they monitored the boy’s condition, ensured his safety, and gave him psychological support. The arriving medics provided the necessary assistance and transported the boy to the hospital together with his mother.
Later in the evening, around 10 p.m., while patrolling the Karatau residential area, servicemen Junior Sergeant Yerkegali Zhiyembek and Privates Bakhtiyar Turanov and Yerlan Zharylgap noticed a suspicious teenager near the Presidential Park. When he saw the guardsmen, he attempted to flee but was detained. During the ID check and inspection of his belongings, a knife was found in his bag.
