"Uly dala zhorygy": the international baiga marathon in honor of the 140th anniversary of Myrzhakyp Dulatuly has ended

This is a unique competition - each team has covered 500 kilometers.

Akim of Kostanay region Kumar Aksakalov, Executive Secretary of the Amanat party Daulet Karibek, Adviser to the Prime Minister, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Jorq Equestrian Federation Yeraly Tugzhanov, President of the Jorq Equestrian Federation Bakytzhan Turlybekov and others took part in the awarding ceremony.

Akim of Kostanay region Kumar Aksakalov stressed that "Uly dala Zhorygy" has become not only a spectacular sports tournament, but also an important symbol of national unity, timed to coincide with the 30th anniversary of the Assembly of People of Kazakhstan.

- This marathon is not just a competition for riders, but an event that celebrates our history and revives the national spirit. The finish in Arkalyk reflects our respect for the personality of Myrzhakyp Dulatov and his legacy. I would like to emphasize that next year the city of Arkalyk will celebrate its 70th anniversary. We plan to dedicate another marathon to this significant date," Kumar Aksakalov emphasized.

- The Uly Dala Zhorygy marathon started three years ago with the direct support of the Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev. This is the sixth time it has been held in this short period of time. Today, baiga is reaching the level of international competitions known all over the world. This became possible thanks to the care and attention of our President to the development of national sports, which can be called a kind of passport of the Kazakh people, a source of pride and lifestyle," Daulet Karibek addressed the audience.

The first place was taken by the national team of Kyrgyzstan. The second place went to the team of Aktobe region. The team of Kostanay region became the third. The fourth and fifth place teams were also awarded prizes.

19 teams took part in the competition, including representatives of Kyrgyzstan and Russia, as well as the team of the Assembly of People of Kazakhstan.

Akim of the region Kumar Aksakalov congratulated and offered to continue the competition next year in honor of the 70th anniversary of the city of Arkalyk. It should be recalled that this year the marathon started in Torgai in honor of the 140th anniversary of the birth of Myrzhakyp Dulatuly, the birthplace of one of the leaders of the Alash party.
