From September 29 to October 3, in the Almaty region of Kazakhstan, a special exercise under the conditional name “Cobalt-2025” will be held. The training will involve special units of the internal affairs bodies, national security, the Internal Troops (National Guard), special and anti-narcotics services, as well as emergency-rescue and firefighting structures that are part of the Special Forces Formations of the Collective Rapid Reaction Forces (SFF CRRF) of the CSTO.

During the active phase of the exercise, combined special forces groups of the competent authorities of the CSTO member states will carry out training and applied operational-combat tasks under conditions as close as possible to real-life situations.

Deputy Secretary General of the CSTO Valery Anatolyevich Semerikov will take part in the active phase and in summarizing the results of the exercise.

Representatives of relevant structures of the CIS and SCO have been invited to observe the exercise.
