«The city of Alatau is intended to become our new center of business activity and innovation»

​«In many dynamically developing countries, so-called cities of advanced development have become poles of attraction for investments and technologies. The city of Alatau is intended to become our new center of business activity and innovation. A territory has been allocated for the implementation of this essentially nationwide project, the primary planning has been completed, and key infrastructure networks have been connected.

During my recent visit to China, multi-billion dollar agreements were concluded with world-class companies. One such company participated in the construction of the global technopolis Shenzhen and will be directly involved in the implementation of the Alatau City project.

The next step must be the creation of a solid institutional foundation for Alatau City.

Then, within no more than half a year, a separate law should be adopted, which will stipulate the city's governance regime, financial model, and other important aspects.

I emphasize that a special legal status is not a privilege, but a necessary measure or tool, without which everything planned risks remaining on paper.

Alatau City must become the region's first fully digital city – from the application of Smart City technologies to the possibility of paying for goods and services with cryptocurrencies.

The city will embody the image of the future of Kazakhstan, combining technological progress with a maximally comfortable living environment».
