You can apply for the assignment/extension of the candace status through:

- PSC;

- portal migration.gov.kz;

- e-governmentportal.

The list of documents in the PSC for applying for the status of candace:

 - Application form;

 - Autobiography (in any form);

 - Copies of the identity documents of the applicant and his family members (if any), confirming nationality, with a notarized translation into Kazakh or Russian;

-Copies of otherdocumentsdependingon the purpose of the move(documentsconfirming a familyconnection, an employmentcontract, a certificatefrom the place of study).

The deadline for reviewing an applicationforstatusassignmenttakes30businessdays.Incase of a positiveresult, ethnicKazakhsandtheirfamilymembers are issued a candacecertificate. The validity period of the candaceis1year.

How can I extend the term of a previously assigned status?

An applicationfor an extension of the previouslyassignedstatus of candacecan be submitted to thelocalexecutivebodyor to the State Corporation.To do this, you mustattach a copy of the previouslyissuedcandacecertificateto the applicationitself. The deadline for the provision of publicservicesfor the extension of the status of candaceis5workingdays.

You can extend your candacestatusonlyoncefor a period of nomore than 6months.

It is worth noting that the day of receipt of documents is not included in the deadline for the provision of public services. The public service is provided free of charge.
