In Astana, within the framework of the Extended conference on the results of the implementation of cooperation projects, the signing of the Joint agreement on the extension of the Program «Partnering in Business with Germany» for 2026–2028 took place. This event became an important stage in the development of bilateral cooperation aimed at supporting small and medium-sized enterprises, expanding partnership ties, and exchanging experience between the business communities of Kazakhstan and Germany.

The program «Partnering in Business with Germany» has been implemented for fifteen years on the basis of a Joint statement between the Ministry of National Economy of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy of Germany. Over the years of its operation, over 800 Kazakhstani entrepreneurs have undergone internships in Germany, mastered modern business methods, modernized production, concluded contracts, and acquired licenses and franchises.

In 2025, Kazakhstani participants continued to actively use the opportunities of the Program. The training took place at the GISMA Business Development Centers (Berlin, Potsdam) with a visit to the Hanover Fair, COGNOS (Hamburg) with participation in regional exhibitions, EABW (Tübingen) with a focus on the healthcare sector and specialized medical exhibitions, as well as CDC (Cologne) with a visit to the largest food exhibition ANUGA. All expenses, including training, insurance, and accommodation, are covered by the host party.

During the conference, special attention was paid to the results of the Program and new tasks for the upcoming period. The Vice-Minister of National Economy of the RK, Yerlan Sagnayev, delivered a welcoming speech, emphasizing the significance of extending cooperation and noting that the program contributes not only to the professional growth of entrepreneurs but also to the strengthening of economic ties between the two countries.

The event was attended by the Permanent Deputy Ambassador of Germany to Kazakhstan, Ulrich Kinne, the Head of Department V of the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy, Ralph Böhme, representatives of NCE «Atameken», the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ), as well as graduates of the Program.

It is worth recalling that the previous memorandum on the extension until December 31, 2025, was signed on June 20, 2023. The new agreement ensures the continuation of the Program's work until the end of 2028 and opens up additional opportunities for the exchange of experience and the implementation of joint initiatives.

For reference: The program «Partnering in Business with Germany» provides participants with thematic business internships abroad, including practice at enterprises of a similar profile and the establishment of business ties with foreign partners. Participants gain access to technologies, modern equipment, technology transfer tools, opportunities for the mutual supply of goods and services, as well as the creation of joint ventures.
