Servicemen of military unit 5517 of the National Guard of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, while on duty to protect public order, detained a man suspected of distributing narcotic substances.

The patrol, consisting of squad leader Private Nұrasyl Kuanyshbay and patrolmen Privates Yerasyl Bayniyaz and Oleg Fofonov, was carrying out duty in the Severny Vostok district. In the yard of a residential building, the guardsmen noticed a flash from a mobile phone camera. The man hid a package and took a photo of the so-called "stash" location, which aroused suspicion among the servicemen.

The guardsmen approached the citizen to check his documents. However, the man behaved aggressively. During the inspection, a capsule containing about 10 grams of narcotic substance was found in his pocket.

The detainee was handed over to the police. A pre-trial investigation has been initiated.
