On October 2, 2025, a solemn event titled “Teachers of modern times: intelligence, dedication, honesty” to celebrate Teacher’s Day took place at Ertis Concert Culture Center with the participation of Nurymbet A. Saktaganov, Akim of East Kazakhstan region.  

The celebration was attended by the Secretary of East Kazakhstan Regional Maslikhat, representatives of Education Quality Assurance Department of East Kazakhstan region of the Committee for Education Quality Assurance of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Local Trade Union of Education and Science Workers of East Kazakhstan region, the East Kazakhstan regional branch of Orleu National Centre for Professional Development JSC of the Institute for Professional Development of Educators, university rectors, heads of city and district education departments, veterans of education, heads and educators of educational organizations, social partners and media representatives.

The guests of the event were invited to visit an exhibition showcasing artistic creativity of school and college students, as well as an educational and literary book exhibition organized by bookstores and libraries of Ust-Kamenogorsk city.

 The participants of the event also viewed the winning videos of the competition “Please accept our congratulations”, which were displayed in the foyer.

As part of the official celebration, some educators received awards from the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan for their long-term contribution to the development of education: 13 educators received the Enbek Ardageri medal, 4 educators were awarded Y. Altynsarin badge, 13 educators awarded the “Bilim beru isinin kurmetti kyzmetkeri” badge, 25 educators received Certificate of Honor, and 24 educators - Certificates of Honor and Letters of Appreciation from Akim of East Kazakhstan region.  

According to the results of the performance rating of the 2024-2025 academic year, Education Administration awarded the title “Best Education Department – 2025 in General Secondary Education” to Education Department of Ulken Naryn district, and Ust-Kamenogorsk Higher Polytechnic College was named the Best College of 2025.   

A specially prepared concert program was presented to the honored guests, veterans of the education and teachers of the region.  

A photo zone was set up in the foyer. The participants also viewed a special edition of the newsletter highlighting the region’s educational achievements for the 2024–2025 academic year.
