Abai Kunanbayev and Sergey Yesenin met for the first time at the Moscow House of Nationalities

On September 26, the Moscow House of Nationalities hosted a creative evening dedicated to the 180th anniversary of Abai Kunanbayev and the 130th anniversary of Sergei Yesenin.

The International Assembly of CIS Capitals and Major Cities (IAG) and the Moscow House of Nationalities, with the support of the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the Russian Federation, the Ryazan Community in Moscow and the Regional Public Organization Kazakh Cultural Center in Moscow, held a creative evening "A line born of talent knows no earthly boundaries" dedicated to the 180th anniversary of the great Kazakh thinker and the poet Abai Kunanbayev and the 130th anniversary of the great Russian poet Sergei Yesenin.

The organized event caused a lot of positive emotions, kind words and wishes to hold regular creative meetings with the participation of national diasporas.

The meeting began with greetings sent to the participants of the creative evening by Sergey Kravchuk, Chairman of the Board of the MAG, Mayor of Khabarovsk, and Academician Boris Gusev, Chairman of the Ryazan Community in Moscow. They were announced by Yuri Vasyunkin, Executive Vice President and CEO of MAG. The representative of the Embassy Assel Isimova delivered a greeting from the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the Russian Federation.

The official part of the evening was continued by Yuri Vasyunkin's report "On the works of Abai Kunanbaev and Sergei Yesenin" and the presentation of the website "Yesenin.<url>" by its creator and editor Sergey Trifonov.

The creative part of the event began with a performance by singer, composer, winner of the "Romance of the XXI Century" competition Dmitry Shved, who performed his songs and songs based on poems by Sergei Yesenin. Supporting the bright performance of the artist, the audience sang along with him. No less impressive was the performance of the laureate of the National Festival-Competition of Folk Art "Yeseninskaya Rus" harmonica player Vasily Sidorin. He performed his own songs and songs based on poems by Sergei Yesenin. The soulful lines of the performed songs touched the hearts of the audience, creating an atmosphere of goodwill and sincere emotions in the hall.

A storm of applause was caused by the performance of the Dombira ensemble under the direction of Maira Abdrakhmanovna Kyylybayeva. Iskhak Danat Nurlan uly, Nazgul Akisheva, Aydin Zheksembai, Emir Mukhambetov, Almira Musina, Amantai Zhunusov, Kanat Kadyshev did not leave the audience indifferent. Their bright national costumes and virtuoso performance of music and Kazakh songs found a lively response from those present. The audience constantly applauded the young talents and their leader.

After the performances of the young talents, Zhanbulat Serikovich Almanov, an employee of the Eurasian Economic Commission, took the stage. Anticipating his speech, he presented the organizers of the event with a book with poems by Abai Kunanbayev. After saying many kind words to Abai Kunanbayev and Sergey Yesenin, he read his own poems based on "Shagane, you are my Shagane."

And immediately after him, the audience heard Sergei Yesenin's poem "Shagane, you are my Shagane" performed by Khursheda Davronovna Khamrakulova, director of the Tajik Cultural Center. Her sensual, soulful rendition of Yesenin's lines drew well-deserved applause from the audience.

An unexpected and pleasant surprise for the organizers was the performance of Aurora Bichenova– the granddaughter of Khursheda Davronovna. She went on stage and sang "Katyusha" in a cappella. The clear child's voice touched those present in the hall, and everyone supported the young singer together.

The performance of Natalia Tarabrina, a poet, singer, author, and member of the Russian Writers' Union, was vivid and emotional. The poems and songs performed by her touched the audience to the depths of their souls.  Then Amantai Khaidullovich Zhunusov took the stage. His talent of performing songs with his own dombra accompaniment conquered the audience. The concert program ended with an improvisation by Kazakh and Ryazan artists. They went on stage together and sang the song "Oh, roads, dust and fog" in memory of the common Victory of their fathers and grandfathers in the Great Patriotic War.

At the end of the concert, Yuri Vasyunkin thanked the Moscow House of Nationalities for their active participation in the preparation and celebration of the anniversaries of Abai Kunanbayev and Sergei Yesenin, thanking MDN representative Gulnara Isakova, who organized the participation of members of the Kazakh diaspora in the meeting. All participants of the creative evening were presented with Commendations from the International Assembly of the Capitals and Major Cities of the CIS, the Moscow House of Nationalities and the Ryazan Community in Moscow.

The evening ended with a collective photo of the audience and artists.
