Kazakhstan and the Czech Republic Expand Industrial Cooperation

Brno, October 9, 2025 – A Kazakh delegation led by Azamat Panbayev, Chairman of the Industrial Development Committee of the Ministry of Industry and Construction of the Republic of Kazakhstan, took part in a business forum dedicated to the potential of Central Asia. The forum was held from October 7 to 9, 2025, as part of the 66th International Engineering Fair in Brno – one of the largest events of its kind in Central Europe.

The event brought together representatives of government bodies, business associations, and entrepreneurs from Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, and the Czech Republic. The Kazakh delegation also included representatives of JSC “Industrial Development Fund,” the Union of Machine Builders of Kazakhstan, the Department of Entrepreneurship of the West Kazakhstan Region, as well as private manufacturing companies.

In his opening remarks, Mr. Panbayev presented Kazakhstan’s achievements in the field of industrial development and the measures undertaken following the recent Address of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev. He emphasized that Kazakhstan aims to create new opportunities for technology transfer, innovation development, and strengthening the region’s position as an attractive hub for investment.

The second part of the forum featured B2B meetings, where Kazakh and Czech businesses discussed promising projects and ways to expand cooperation. Participants expressed particular interest in joint initiatives in the fields of mechanical engineering, digitalization, and production automation.

As part of the visit, meetings were held with the leadership of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic and sectoral associations. The discussions focused on specific steps to deepen cooperation, including production localization, technology transfer, and the implementation of joint industrial projects.

Both sides reaffirmed their mutual interest in further developing business relations and exploring new forms of partnership in the industrial sector between Kazakhstan and the Czech Republic.

In addition, the Kazakh delegation visited the Aircraft Industries plant, which is part of the Omnipol a.s. group. During the visit, the delegation members familiarized themselves with the production process and discussed prospects for cooperation in the development of small aviation in Kazakhstan.
