Ambassador’s Meeting with the Business Community in Druskininkai

Druskininkai, 9 October 2025 – Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Lithuania Timur Urazayev held a meeting with representatives of the Druskininkai business community as part of his working visit to the region.

The event was organized by the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Lithuania in cooperation with the Vilnius Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Crafts (CCIC) and the Druskininkai Municipality.

The meeting brought together executives from more than 20 companies representing various sectors – transport and logistics, tourism, construction, agriculture, industry – all interested in building partnerships with Kazakhstan.

During the meeting, the Ambassador briefed participants on the key trends in Kazakhstan’s economic development, government measures aimed at improving the investment climate and supporting foreign investors, as well as the country’s economic policy priorities. Particular attention was paid to opportunities for Lithuanian companies to participate in specific investment projects in Kazakhstan.

Ambassador Urazayev also highlighted several provisions of President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev’s Address of 8 September 2025, which present significant potential for international cooperation – particularly in the fields of digital technology integration, innovation development, and Kazakhstan’s transformation into a fully digital state that ensures transparency in business processes.

The importance of humanitarian and cultural ties was also emphasized, alongside the growing interest in Kazakhstan’s tourism potential. In this regard, Lithuanian participants were presented with an information guide on Kazakhstan in Lithuanian.

Lithuanian partners were informed about the activities of the Kazakhstan–Lithuania Business Council, which plays a key role in promoting direct business contacts. The outcomes of the visit of a Lithuanian business delegation to Almaty on 1 October 2025, the business forum, and B2B meetings held during the visit were also highlighted.

Participants of the meeting expressed their readiness to maintain close contacts aimed at expanding economic cooperation and exploring new joint projects.
