Today, the “Korkyt Sazy” concert took place at the “Korkyt Ata” Memorial Complex as part of the international folklore and music festival “Korkyt and the Melody of the Great Steppe.” The festival, held once every three years, aims to strengthen the spiritual unity of Turkic peoples and promote our shared culture to the world. This year marks the seventh edition of the event.

The festival was organized with the support of the Kyzylorda Regional Akimat and the International Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation. Artistic groups from various regions of Kazakhstan, as well as from fraternal countries such as Turkey, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tuva, and the Altai Republic, took part in the event.

The program began in a special spiritual atmosphere. Guests were greeted by the “Äzheler Ensemble” performing the traditional shashu ceremony, showcasing Kazakh hospitality.

The festival was attended by the representative of the TURKSOY International Organization Secretariat, Sandzhar Mulazimoglu, President of the International Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation Aktoty Raimkulova, and Head of the Department of Culture, Archives and Documentation of the Kyzylorda Region Zhanmurat Seilov, who emphasized the importance of the event.

The cultural program featured performances inspired by the life and philosophical worldview of Korkyt Ata, as well as zhyrau and terme performances. Artistic groups from various countries also presented their national works to the audience.

This festival, which strengthens the spiritual bond between fraternal peoples and passes on Korkyt Ata’s legacy to the younger generation, was organized at a high level.
