“If you think of a hundred years of benefit — plant a tree,” says an ancient Kazakh proverb symbolizing harmony with nature and responsibility to future generations.
Today, in the central “Youth Park” of Karmakshy district, a tree-planting event was held within the framework of the nationwide environmental campaign “Clean Kazakhstan,” initiated by the Head of State.
The event was attended by Akim of the district Zhandos Erkinbek, heads of government agencies, veterans, representatives of youth organizations, and volunteers. In his speech, the district akim stated:
– Under the initiative of President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, the “Clean Kazakhstan” environmental program is being actively implemented in our district. Systematic work is underway to improve and green the streets, parks, public areas, and residential yards. Despite unfavorable weather conditions, thanks to the tireless efforts of residents who care about their homeland, our district is becoming a clean and beautiful place to live. I express my gratitude to all citizens who showed initiative and took part in this good cause. I am confident that such positive initiatives will continue in the future, – he concluded.
During the meeting, Chairman of the District Council of Veterans Askar Merekov noted that this initiative sets a good example for the youth and carries great social and educational value.
At the end of the event, participants planted tree saplings in the park area and took an active part in cleaning and landscaping activities.
