On the eve of City Day, the second phase of the 25th Anniversary of Independence Avenue was completed, and the new road from Abulkhayyr Khan Street to Salamatov Street was officially opened. Members of the Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, intellectuals, elders, and city residents participated in the ceremony.
Regional Akim Nurlybek Nalibayev, noting the work done to develop the road infrastructure, congratulated those gathered on the opening of the new road.
«Kyzylorda, although not a metropolis, is a city that has taken concrete steps to develop urban infrastructure, improve quality of life, and diversify the economy. The population is growing every year, with approximately 50% of the region's residents living in the regional center. We have taken concrete steps to create a safe, clean, accessible, and intelligent city focused on ensuring a comfortable life for people. The regional capital's main streets—the entrance road from the Shieli District, Yassaui, and Zhappasbay Batyr Avenues—have been widened to four lanes.
Today, the second phase of 25th Anniversary of Independence Avenue was completed and is being handed over for the benefit of the people.
A four-lane road, 27.3 kilometers long, has been built from the new Korkyt Ata Airport terminal to the Gagarin Bridge.
Three bridges over the Syzdyk, Zhanadariya, and Shirkeyli canals along the road were reconstructed and widened to four lanes.
23 billion 962 million tenge was allocated from the budget for these purposes.
Road development will make life in the city significantly more comfortable and safer, facilitating unimpeded traffic flow.
On behalf of the residents of Kyzylorda, I express my sincere gratitude to UAD LLC for the high-quality and timely completion of the construction work.
May our unity always be strong and our harmony blessed! Let the new road be the beginning of prosperity! Let our country be great, and our independence eternal!» - said Nurlybek Mashbekovich.
During the ceremony, contractor employees who contributed to the high-quality construction of the new road were awarded Certificates of Honor and Letters of Gratitude from the regional akim. Public figure Ibrahim Abibullaev gave his blessing.
A car and bike ride was organized at the opening ceremony of Independence Avenue. The ride showcased vehicles from industries that have been equipped with modern technology in recent years. Specifically, over the past three years, the region's healthcare organizations and ambulance stations have received 270 new ambulances, the education sector has received 30 school buses, the public transport fleet has received 300 new buses and 100 eco-taxis, the emergency services have received 31 fire trucks, municipal services have received 169 special-purpose vehicles, and the veterinary service has received 98 vehicles.
