As part of the nationwide ecological campaign "Clean Kazakhstan," a community cleanup event titled "Cultural Heritage – A Shared Responsibility" was held at the Koylyk settlement in the Koylyk rural district of Sarkand district, located on the UNESCO World Heritage List.

The cleanup involved representatives from the Department of Culture, Archives and Documentation of the Zhetysu region, the akimat of Sarkand district, youth from the Koylyk rural district, as well as cultural sector workers.

During the event, tasks included cleaning the territory of the historic settlement, restoring a damaged information board, and sorting waste for recycling.

The goal of the campaign is to preserve historical and cultural heritage, care for the environment, and promote ecological awareness among the youth.
