In the Address of President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev for 2025, it was noted that the city of Alatau should become a new business, economic and technological center of the country. The Head of State instructed to provide this city with a special status, making it directly subordinate to the Government. The task is to develop this Decree within ten days.

The Address also addressed the issue of introducing digital tenge and expanding its use in state finances. The President instructed to urgently form an ecosystem of digital assets, increase the efficiency of digital tenge, and ensure its use in national fund, republican, and local budget projects.

Increasing the country's financial efficiency through the development of the digital economy is an important component of the development of the city of Alatau and the innovative impetus of the Kazakhstani economy.
