As you know, every year on October 19 Kazakhstan celebrates a professional holiday - the Day of Rescuers. This year, the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Kazakhstan turns 30 years old. This significant date became an important milestone in the history of the establishment and development of the country's civil protection system.
In honor of the anniversary, the mayor of the city Gabit Syzdykbekov took part in the festive event, congratulated the employees and veterans of the department, who made a significant contribution to the strengthening of the civil protection system. As part of the celebration, he handed over letters of thanks and keys to specialized cars to distinguished employees.
"Your self-sacrificing work in the name of the country's security and the well-being of citizens is a bright example of courage and loyalty to the Motherland. You fulfill your duty with honor, risking your life every day to save people. On this festive day, I wish you good health, well-being and success in the service", Gabit Syzdykbekov emphasized.
In addition, the head of the city familiarized himself with the exhibition of modern fire-rescue equipment and equipment, presented by units of the Department of Emergency Situations.
It is worth noting that today about a thousand employees work in the structure of the city department. The safety of the residents of Shymkent is ensured by the specialists of 10 fire departments and operational rescue squads.
Also, in connection with the expansion of the city territory, systematic work is being carried out to increase the level of security, to build new fire stations, and also to create modern multi-functional centers that combine emergency services, ambulance and police.
In addition, a test fire laboratory and a medical center were opened in recent years, and 43 units of new equipment were purchased. To increase the level of training of rescuers, a sports ground and training zones have been built.
