Every year on October 19, our country celebrates a professional holiday - Rescuers' Day. This year marks the 30th anniversary of the establishment of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Kazakhstan. This significant day is of great importance in the history of the creation and development of the civil defense system of our country.
The city's mayor, Gabit Syzdykbekov, attended the festive event and congratulated the specialists and veterans of the sector who made a significant contribution to strengthening the civil defense system. During the solemn meeting, the best employees were presented with letters of appreciation and keys to special vehicles.
– Your selfless work for the security of our country and the well-being of its citizens is a vivid example of heroism and loyalty to the Motherland. You risk your lives every day to save people and fulfill your duties with honor. On this holiday, I wish you good health, prosperity, and success in your work, – said G. Syzdykbekov.
The city mayor also visited an exhibition of modern firefighting and rescue equipment presented by the Department of Emergency Situations.
It is worth noting that the city department currently employs about a thousand people. Specialists from 10 fire stations and emergency rescue teams ensure the safety of the local population.
In addition, due to the expansion of the city's territory, systematic work is underway to improve security, build new fire stations, and create modern multifunctional centers that combine ambulance and police.
In addition, in recent years, a fire testing laboratory and a medical center have been opened, and 43 new pieces of equipment have been purchased. A sports field and training grounds have been developed to improve the training of rescuers.
