Systematic work aimed at creating an ecological culture and improving the quality of life of residents continues in Shymkent. As evidence of this, on September 25, 2025, local police inspectors of the local police department of the Al-Farabi district police department carried out large-scale improvement activities as part of the “Clean City” campaign.

The main goal of the “Clean City” campaign is to mobilize residents to protect the environment, improve the sanitary conditions of the city, and strengthen public order. Such activities are not limited to garbage collection or yard cleaning. This is also a way to increase environmental culture and educate young people to respect nature.

In addition to local inspectors, local residents, volunteers, and school and college students actively participated in the campaign organized by the Al-Farabi District Police Department. Each citizen contributed to the cleanliness and beautification of the city by doing their part.

Improvement work was carried out in several main areas:

1. Garbage collection in public places, streets, parks and yards.
   Household waste, garbage bags, and plastic bottles that had accumulated in busy areas, parks, and playgrounds were collected and taken to special landfills. This not only improved the beauty of the city, but also allowed it to maintain sanitary cleanliness.

2. Cleaning and repairing pedestrian paths and roadsides.
   Local police inspectors and volunteer groups cleared the roadsides of debris and replaced broken tiles. Pedestrian paths were repaired, ensuring safe movement of residents.

3. Planting trees and shrubs, maintaining and whitewashing existing greenery.
   Nature conservation was an important part of the campaign. Local police officers and residents worked together to plant dozens of young saplings. In addition, existing trees were whitewashed, and bushes were trimmed and put in order. This work will contribute to the proper growth of greenery.

4. Planting and watering flower beds and lawns.
   New flower beds were created in the city center and in the courtyards of residential buildings, and grass was planted on lawns. Irrigation is especially important in the summer season, so irrigation work was carried out systematically.

5. Repair and painting of children's playgrounds and sports grounds.
   To ensure the safety of children and to ensure that they can spend their free time effectively, the slides and swings on the playgrounds were painted and their cracks were repaired. The iron structures on the sports fields were painted, and the football goals and nets were renovated.

6. Installing or restoring trash cans, benches, and light fixtures.
   The infrastructure in public places has also been given attention. New trash cans have been installed, broken benches have been repaired, and streetlights have been installed in some areas, allowing residents to walk safely even in the evening.

7. Beautification of social facilities.
   The courtyards of schools and kindergartens, hospitals and clinics were cleaned and their green areas were maintained. One of the main objectives of the campaign was to create a comfortable environment for people studying and receiving treatment in these institutions.

The active participation of local police inspectors in the "Clean City" campaign demonstrates their civic responsibility not only as law enforcement officers, but also as members of society. Police officers worked together with residents, explaining that environmental safety and public order are closely linked.

During the campaign, law enforcement officers explained to residents the rules for proper disposal of household waste and provided information about the requirements of environmental legislation. This educational work contributed to increasing the legal culture of residents.

The city residents who participated in the action also showed their civic activity. The contribution of young people was especially notable. They took part in planting trees, collecting garbage, creating flower beds, and set an example in the formation of an ecological culture.

Many residents expressed their support for this initiative to be held on a regular basis, because city cleanliness should not be just a one-day event, but should become a daily habit for every citizen.

The “Clean City” campaign was not only an environmentally significant event, but also contributed to increasing social unity and solidarity. People working in different fields, young people and veterans, civil servants and entrepreneurs worked together.
