The Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan continues to consistently implement the President's instructions to return inefficiently used agricultural land to state ownership, redistribute it among conscientious and efficient land users, and digitalize all land management processes. Since 2022 , 13.7 million hectares of agricultural land that was not used for its intended purpose or was allocated in violation of the law have been returned to state ownership. Of this, 6.2 million hectares have been distributed among conscientious land users who ensure efficient and rational use of the land. This work contributes to the development of agricultural production, the formation of a culture of proper land use, and the rational management of land resources.

When distributing the returned lands, several key criteria were taken into account:

1. Efficiency of previous use: The ability of the land user to use the land plot efficiently in the past was assessed.

3. Economic plan: It was considered what activities would be implemented on the site after it was received.
