The Turansky District is one of the most dynamically developing administrative districts of Shymkent. In recent years, it has been implementing a large-scale program to develop infrastructure, improve the surrounding area, and improve the quality of life. In 2025, the district will be systematically upgrading utility networks, enhancing the city's aesthetic appeal, and creating a comfortable urban environment for residents.

One of the priority areas has been the renovation of the utility and irrigation infrastructure . This is a vital part of the urban ecosystem, ensuring the efficient distribution and use of water resources, as well as maintaining cleanliness and green spaces. Reconstruction and construction of irrigation systems continues this year. By the end of the year, new irrigation canals with a total length of 20.6 kilometers are planned to be installed along 50 streets in the district. To date, 16.4 kilometers have already been completed, and the remaining 4.2 kilometers will be commissioned in the coming months. These measures help regulate water flow, prevent flooding, and ensure the maintenance of green spaces.

In addition to engineering projects, special attention is paid to the district's aesthetic appearance . In 2025, as part of the city's public space development program, colorful murals were painted on the facades of nine multi-story buildings . These artworks reflect national values, patriotic motifs, and modern cultural symbols, lending the district a distinctive character and fostering a positive mood among residents.

In addition, extensive work has been carried out to illuminate building facades . Currently, 49 multi-story buildings are equipped with modern lighting systems, making the streets of Turan more welcoming and safer in the evening. The new lighting not only beautifies the area but also helps prevent crime and create a comfortable urban environment.

Residential repair and maintenance work also remains a key focus. At the initiative of Turgyn Uy LLC, major renovations are underway in six multi-story buildings in 2025. This includes roof replacement, utility system upgrades, and facade renovations, which directly impact the quality and safety of living.

There are 548 apartment buildings in the district, 503 of which are connected to the central heating system , while 45 buildings use independent systems. In preparation for the heating season , a technical inspection of 501 buildings was conducted, resulting in winter readiness certificates . These preventative measures help prevent emergency situations and ensure residents are warm and comfortable during the cold season.

Much attention is paid to environmental awareness and cleanliness in the district . In 2025, the "Clean Kazakhstan" environmental campaign was held in the Turan district, during which more than 70 cleanup days were organized. More than 117,000 residents , as well as 382 businesses and organizations , participated. During the events, 442 courtyards were cleaned, and 656 tons of household waste were removed.

In addition, environmental campaigns were held at five locations , during which 8,000 trees were whitewashed and 2,845 trees underwent sanitary pruning . Grass was mown over an area of 68,700 square meters , 146,000 square meters of water surfaces and 932 kilometers of street network were cleared. Seventy-two pieces of specialized equipment were used in the cleanup and improvement efforts.

As part of the greening program , 3,000 trees have been planted in the district, improving the ecological balance and increasing oxygen levels in the urban environment. Additionally, 3,610 waste bins have been installed throughout the district, helping to maintain cleanliness and comfort in public spaces.

The district administration emphasizes that all ongoing work is aimed at creating comfortable conditions for residents and ensuring sustainable development of the area. The Turansky District is being transformed into a modern and environmentally friendly residential community, combining infrastructure amenities, aesthetic appeal, and a high level of amenities.

Particular attention is paid to engaging the public in maintaining cleanliness and order. Local residents actively participate in community cleanups, tree plantings, and neighborhood cleanups, which fosters a responsible attitude toward their city and strengthens civic solidarity.

At the same time, work is underway to improve transport accessibility, reconstruct courtyards, and install playgrounds and sports fields. Further development of the street lighting system and expansion of the green space network are planned.

All these activities reflect a comprehensive approach to the district's development. Today, Turan is more than just a new administrative center, but an example of modern, people-centered urban policy. Infrastructure projects, landscaping, environmental initiatives, and improved courtyards are making the district an increasingly attractive place to live.

Going forward, the Turansky District administration intends to continue its modernization program: expanding the drainage system, improving road conditions, developing park areas, and implementing innovative approaches in environmental and housing and utilities sectors.

Thus, the systemic renewal of the Turansky District is not a one-time campaign, but a long-term strategy aimed at improving quality of life, protecting the environment, and creating a comfortable urban space.

Turan is becoming a symbol of modern Shymkent—a city that grows, develops, and cares for every resident.
