In Shymkent's Enbekshinsky District, ongoing efforts are underway to maintain the cleanliness and beautification of the urban environment. To ensure sanitary conditions, improve public comfort, and enhance safety for residents, INTEKO GROUP, in conjunction with the district administration , regularly cleans public transport stops and drainage ditches . These activities have become an integral part of a comprehensive program to improve urban infrastructure.
Today, city cleanliness is not only an indicator of culture and respect for the environment, but also a factor directly impacting the health and quality of life of the population. This is why the Yenbekshinsky District places special emphasis on this area.
There are approximately 270 public transport stops in the district, each of which undergoes scheduled sanitization at least twice a week. This work is performed using specialized equipment— water trucks and high-pressure cleaners —that effectively remove dust, dirt, and street debris from metal and glass surfaces.
Before washing, the surrounding area is cleaned, removing trash and leaves. Then, the bus shelters are washed, wiped down, and treated with antiseptics. This is especially important during the fall and winter, when the risk of infection increases.
Representatives of INTEKO GROUP LLC note that during the summer season, bus stops are washed three times a week , and twice a week during the fall and spring. During the winter, regardless of weather conditions, snow and ice removal is also carried out at bus stops, and de-icing agents are used when necessary.
An equally important area is cleaning the drainage channels , which ensure the uninterrupted drainage of rainwater and meltwater. Regular cleaning helps prevent flooding of streets and courtyards and maintain the road surface in good condition.
Since the beginning of 2025 , more than 118 kilometers of irrigation ditches and drainage systems have been cleared in the Yenbekshinsky District. Of these, 38 kilometers were cleared manually , the rest using specialized vacuum equipment . In total , approximately 700 tons of silt, dirt, and household waste were removed during this period.
Eight pieces of specialized equipment and more than 40 employees are deployed daily to carry out these works, beginning at 7:00 a.m. and finishing by 7:00 p.m. All work is carried out in strict accordance with the schedule and under the supervision of the district akimat.
Representatives of INTEKO GROUP LLC emphasize that these measures are aimed not only at maintaining cleanliness but also at preventing the potential consequences of natural disasters , such as heavy rains or snowfalls. Furthermore, street cleanliness and the proper functioning of drainage systems directly impact road safety.
According to the Yenbekshinsky District Akimat, there are 534 streets in the district , most of which are equipped with a drainage system. To ensure the infrastructure operates smoothly, local authorities and contractors work closely together.
In addition to cleaning bus stops and ditches, trash cans and containers are also cleaned and disinfected . By 2025, more than 2,300 trash cans were installed on the district's streets, each of which is regularly emptied. Additional containers are also planned for installation in densely populated neighborhoods.
Residents of the district also actively participate in community improvement initiatives. Together with municipal services, they participate in cleanup days and environmental campaigns under the slogans "A Clean District—A Clean City!" and "Let's Keep It Clean Together!" As part of these initiatives, residents help clean up trash, whitewash trees, and improve courtyards.
Thanks to this systematic work, the appearance of the area has noticeably improved . While previously dirty bus stops and puddles could be seen after rain, most streets are now much cleaner. According to residents, washing bus stops and cleaning ditches has yielded noticeable results—during precipitation, water now drains quickly, preventing it from accumulating on the roads.
The Yenbekshinsky District Akimat urges residents to maintain cleanliness, not to litter inappropriately, and to take care of city infrastructure . After all, a clean and well-maintained city begins with each of us.
A representative of INTEKO GROUP LLC noted:
"Our goal is not just to clean up trash, but to create a comfortable and safe urban environment. We strive to ensure that every bus stop and every street meets modern standards of cleanliness and amenities."
The company and the Akimat plan to expand the scope of their work . An additional 15 kilometers of drainage systems are planned for the near future, as well as the repair and replacement of approximately 50 old bus stop shelters .
In addition, new street cleaning technologies will be introduced in the future, including curb washing, pressure cleaning of pedestrian paths, and the use of environmentally friendly cleaning solutions and wastewater collection systems.
All this will make the Yenbekshinsky District even cleaner, safer, and more comfortable for residents and visitors.
Improvement and sanitation work is not just a technical task, but part of a larger program to improve the quality of urban life . Clean streets, well-maintained bus stops, and functioning drainage systems are indicators of a city's development, care for people, and respect for the environment.
INTEKO GROUP LLC and the Yenbekshinsky District Akimat will continue their systematic efforts to maintain cleanliness and order, as a clean district is essential for the health, safety, and well-being of every Shymkent resident .
