On October 8, 2025, one of the largest international events in the field of agriculture - AGRITECH TURKESTAN & GROWTECH SHYMKENT-2025 - began its work in Shymkent. The total cost of the project is 650 million US dollars and it is being built on an area of 500 hectares. Currently, 40 hectares are ready, and the first harvest is planned at the end of the month. The second project is a greenhouse complex of 144 hectares belonging to the Polish company Fabre Agro . The fact that this large-scale international exhibition will be held in Shymkent was considered a natural phenomenon. This year , more than 80 leading companies from Turkey, the Kingdom of the Netherlands, China, Russia, Uzbekistan and other countries are participating in the exhibition.
