Shymkent wrestler Marat Baikamurov won the title at the traditional 15th Republican Kazakh wrestling tournament "Kazakhstan Barysy" held at the "Zhaksylyk Ushkempirov Palace of Wrestling" in Astana.

In the final, he fought with a wrestler from Abay region, Erasyl Kazhybayev. Previously, Marat had defeated five opponents with a clear advantage and made his way to the final.
