THE LANGUAGE AND ART OF THE UYGIR ETHNOS — A VISION OF SPIRITUAL UNITY

A festive event entitled "Day of Uyghur Language, Culture and Traditions" was held in Shymkent to mark the 30th anniversary of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan. The event was organized by the Shymkent City Uyghur Association.
The celebration was attended by the acting head of the Shymkent city department for internal policy and youth affairs, Zangarbek Usipakhmetov, the head of the "Public Agreement" KMU, Nurken Alimkulov, as well as chairmen and representatives of ethno-cultural associations in our city.
First, the participants viewed an exhibition of handicrafts and national cuisine depicting the lifestyle of the Uyghur people.
Speaking during the event, Zangarbek Usipakhmetov, Acting Head of the Department of Internal Policy and Youth Affairs of Shymkent, said:
"The Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan is a symbol of peace and harmony. Our main wealth is peace and mutual respect within the country. Through such cultural events, we will get to know each other's traditions, language, and culture more deeply and strengthen common values," he said.
The grand opening of the event began with the national dance "Kerbez Sylkym" performed by the "Umay" dance group. Throughout the evening, the audience was delighted with the songs and dances performed by art groups and young talents, who demonstrated a unique expression of Uyghur culture.
The song "Zhan dosym" (My Dear Friend), written by T. Moldagaliyev and sung by S. Baiterekov, was performed on stage, and the melodious songs of the "Dastan" singers, who had specially arrived from the Shelek district of the Almaty region, were warmly received by the audience.
